About Care

The Campaign for Africa Research and Education was initiated through a donation by Mr. Morton Hyman, then Chairman of Continuum Health Partners' Board of Trustees, to honor Dr. Munir Ghesani, his nuclear medicine physician. Dr. Ghesani used the funds to establish the Hyman-Ghesani RAD-AID SNMMI Global Health Scholarship, aimed at advancing nuclear medicine in East Africa. This scholarship improves access to quality medical imaging in underserved regions. Recipients visit Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi for two weeks, collaborating with clinical teams to share imaging protocols, best practices, and radiation safety concepts. They also participate in multidisciplinary conferences, case discussions, and educational presentations.
